Dream Team VI Beat Gabon 4-1 In Libreville

Nigeria Under-23 national team are foot into the final qualifying round for the Men’s football Tournament of the All-African Games after a 4-1 win over Gabon in Libreville on Saturday.

Junior Ajayi’s opening minute strike placed the Dream Tea VI in the lead before Wari Wolves striker Oghenekaro Etebo doubled the tally from the penalty spot a couple of minutes to the break.

Ajayi grabbed his second with another early second half strike. Axel Meye reduced the arrears for Gabon midway through the second period.

Enyimba forward Peter Onyekachi restored Nigeria’s three-goal cushion in regulation time to ease pressure on the visitors ahead of the return leg in Nigeria.

The return leg comes up at the Abuja National Stadium on March 7.
