Unknown gunmen, Saturday, abducted the Director of Local Government (DLG) for Adavi Council, Kogi State, Alhaji Abdullazeez Ohere, from his home at Agassa in Okene local government area.
The kidnappers numbering about 10 scaled the fortified fence of the captive at 11pm, reports Guardian.

The kidnappers were said to have robbed occupants of the house of cell phones and told the DLG that they were hired to assassinate him before parting with money and jewelries to save his life and those of his household. Despite everything he offered, the gunmen took him away to an unknown destination.
When contacted, Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), Aguebo Elvis, said he was yet to be briefed about the incident.
