Jonathan’s Re-election A Disaster Waiting To Be Unleashed On Nigerians – Buhari Volunteers Group

Jonathan officeThe General Muhammadu Buhari Volunteers’ Group has warned of an implosion should President Goodluck Jonathan win reelection.

The group called on Nigerians who had yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so and ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party is voted out of power in the forthcoming general elections.

The group also described the shifting of elections to March 28, 2015 as a ploy by the PDP-led federal government to perfect its rigging plan.

The FCT Coordinator of the group, Mr. Fidel Obi, said this during a sensitisation rally in Karu, outskirts of Abuja on Sunday.

According to him, returning President Jonathan of the PDP to office would be “a disaster waiting to be unleashed on Nigerians”.

Obi stressed, “Our concern is not this highlighted infraction which is well known to Nigerians but what is looming before us is ready for implosion. We have started seeing signs of these disasters by the inability of many state governments to meet their basic obligations, particularly meeting their respective wage bills. All these are attributed to the dwindling allocations due to the crash in oil prices and loss of oil revenue due to theft”.

According to Obi, the membership of the group cut across different professional, ethnic and religious backgrounds, who believed in a united and working Nigeria.

The coordinator added that the group had a conviction that with the victory of Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (SAN), come March 28, 2015, the dwindling values and morals would be revived and the citizens would once again be proud of their country.

Obi said, “GMB volunteers are a frontline voluntary organisation saddled with the grass root mobilisation for the victory of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) of the All Progressive Congress at the 2015 polls.

“We sincerely call on those who are still undecided and few others who still see light in the re-election bid of President Jonathan to align with proponents of change so that posterity will be fair to them for helping rescue Nigeria from the hands of this cabal”.

  1. This grp is daft & not campaigng. The problem of fall in oil price is across globe & it affects any oil dependent economy. Campaigng shd pinpoint solutions to problems. What I see is desperation for pwr by making pple 2 believe that world challenge that is a mere coincidence is caused by the president. If people will welcome APC, not an old illiterate. Let him sell his ideas to younger ones. This man was part of the wicked Abacha’s regime & had no positive influence. We used sawdust as cookg fuel & dr was no fuel 4 transportatn, so we trecked miles to get sawdust. We couldn’t afford feedg. May their time not return to Nigeria. They hv nothing special to offer. He ruled & can’t pinpoint any infrastructural achievemt.
