Nigeria senior women’s football team were forced to a 1-1 draw by hosts Mali in an All-Africa Games (AAG) final round first leg qualifying match on Saturday.
Midfielder Ngozi Okobi placed the Super Falcons ahead in the 67th minute but the reigning African champions failed to build on their lead.
A mistake by goalkeeper Ibubeleye Whyte resulted to an equaliser 8 minutes from time, as she failed to clear Ngozi Ebere’s back pass.

The second leg is billed for the National Stadium, Abuja on Sunday, April 5.
