The National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO) has commended Nigerians over the perseverance and understanding showed during the hardship caused by the fuel scarcity in the country.
Speaking through its National President, Kamal’ddin Akintunde the group noted that such perseverance symbolizes patriotism. He therefore urged them to asking them to sustain such endurance when president-elect Muhammadu Buhari.
NACOMYO noted that such sacrifice would be needed to ensure Buhari’s success.
The organisation also commended PENGASSAN and the Independent Oil Marketers for reaching an agreement with the government to end the strike. It also commended Capital Oil for its initiative, placing national interest above company’s consideration.
It renewed the call for the new political-office holders to deliver on their electioneering promises.
NACOMYO also praised the outgoing government of Goodluck Jonathan for its people-inclined policies, programmes and projects including the revived ailing railway and other public transportation.
