Andy Murray is through to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon after a 7-4 6-4 5-7 6-4 win against the hard-hitting Ivo Karlovic on Monday.
The 2013 winner is through to the last eight for the eighth year in a row and will next face Vasek Pospisil.
The Scot dropped the third set, when his unforced error count crept up, but was hardly challenged by one of the biggest servers in the game for the rest of the tie.
Murray holds a 3-0 record against Pospisil; the second Canadian to reach the quarter-finals at the All England Club in successive years. The 25-year-old fought back from two-set deficit to knock out No. 22 seed Viktor Troicki 4-6 6-7(4) 6-4 6-3 6-3.
Seven-time champion Roger Federer advanced into the quarter-finals with a 6-2 6-2 6-3 win over Roberto Bautista Agut.
The Swiss has now reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the 13th time and is in his 45th Grand Slam last 8.
Federer will take on No. 12 seed Gilles Simons, who earlier in the day dispatched sixth seed Tomas Berdych 6-3 6-3 6-2.
The 17-time Grand Slam winner leads Simons 5-2 in their career head-to-head record, though they will be facing off for the first time in Wimbledon.
Serena Williams saw off Venus 6-4 6-3- her first victory in a Grand Slam against her older sister.
It was Serena’s 15th win in 26 of the Williams sisters’s professional matches.
