Gold medalist at the 2015 All Nigeria Athletics Championships, Seye Ogunlewe, has been named in Team Nigeria squad for this year’s All-Africa Games.
The 2015 All Africa Games is slated for Congo Brazzaville and runs from 4 to 19 September, with Nigeria poised to parade 65 athletes at the Pan African championships.
Ogunlewe, who has not reached the IAAF 10.16secs qualifying mark for the World Championships, recorded a Personal best-equaling time of 10.19secs at the National Trials over the weekend to see off two former national champions Ogho-Oghene Egwero and Obinna Metu.
The trio of Ogunlewe, Egwero and Metu will be joined by 31 other male athletes at the championships.
The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) have also listed 34 female athletes for the All-Africa Games.
Ogunlewe, who did the 4x100m Relays at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, will be making his debut at the All- Africa Games.
