The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has hailed the performance of the immediate past governor of the state, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, during the screening of ministerial nominees at the Senate on Thursday.
The Rivers APC specifically said that based on the handling of the questions from some senators, Amaechi had left no one in doubt that he was ‘eminently’ qualified to become a minister.
The Rivers APC chairman, Dr. Davies Ikanya, explained in a statement on Thursday that the Amaechi showed a deep understanding of the dynamics of government.
Ikanya said, “We are full of pride and wish to heartily congratulate our leader, ex-Governor Amaechi, for the excellent way he acquitted himself when he finally appeared before the upper chamber for screening as a ministerial nominee.
“It can only take a Lion of Niger Delta politics to conduct and compact yourself for the excellent way you did. Amaechi showed dignified composure and a deep understanding of the dynamics of government.
“With the star performance of Amaechi during the screening, a new star in our national politics is born. We look forward to his confirmation in the days ahead and have no doubts at all in our mind that he will make an excellent minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
