The Federal Government has declared tomorrow, Friday, January 1, 2016 as public holiday to commemorate the New Year celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau

The Minister called on Nigerians to exhibit the spirit of the season as exemplified by love, joy and peaceful co-existence irrespective of their religious inclinations.
The minister further called on all Nigerians to continue to promote the unity of the country in its progress towards building a nation devoid of rancour and bitterness.
