Metuh: PDP Reps issue 48-hour ultimatum to EFCC
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the House of Representatives on Tuesday issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release the detained National Public-ity Secretary of the party, Olisah Metuh, accused of money laundering. Also, the acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, on Tuesday, said there was never a time that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party advised former President Goodluck Jonathan to speak on the ongoing investigation on the $2.1 billion arms’ deal scandal.

Reps pass bill to restructure EFCC, 12 others
The House of Representatives yesterday passed for second reading a bill seeking to restructure the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), by amending section 2 (1) (a) (ii) of the principal act to ensure that the Chairman of the agency is not a serving officer but a retired official of the security or law enforcement agencies of the country.
