Agatu Killings: Ortom Expresses Appreciation To Buhari For Intervention

Samuel OrtomGovernor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the state during the challenge posed by herdsmen invasion of some communities in the state.
Ortom, who was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to personally express the state’s appreciation to Buhari, spoke with State House correspondents after meeting the president.
The governor said: “It is something that has not gone to this magnitude because it is massive and it was beyond us and even when the President was out of the country, I saw the Vice President and he was communicated and he immediately directed the Army and the Police to move in swiftly and today there are more Army personnel in the state and in particular Agatu. Also, mobile policemen several units have been deployed”.
