Former Eagles coach and Nigeria Football Federation technical director, Shaibu Amodu is dead. The former Eagles gaffer died in his sleep on Friday night after he reportedly complained of chest pains.
His death comes just three days after the death of another former Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi who died at the age of 54.
Amodu first coached the Super Eagles from April 2001 to February 2002 before he was dismissed by the football federation. He was then re-appointed manager in April 2008 before he was once again sacked in February 2010. His third stint in charge of the Super Eagles came when he was appointed technical director of Nigeria’s national teams in May 2013 and his final stint came in 2014 when he was re-appointed to replace Stephen Keshi for two weeks.
Shaibu Amodu died at the age of 58.
