On this day in 2014, no fewer than 15 people including traders were killed when some suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists stormed a local market in Daku village of Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno state.

Several shops, houses, vehicles and motorcycles were not left out in the attack as they were set ablaze.

Askira Uba shares local boundaries with Biu, Chibok, Gwoza and Hawul council areas, which is south and about 190 kilometres drive from Maiduguri, the state capital that have witnessed series of deadly attacks and killings in recent past.
