Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura has sworn in eleven chairmen to be in charge of the affairs of their various Local Government Areas for the period of one year.
This comes after the candidates were screened and confirmed by the state lawmakers alongside 114 members of the interim management committee.
During the swearing in ceremony which took place at the conference hall of the Government House in Lafia, the Governor implore the chairmen to instill in them the fear of God in discharging their duties.
It would be recalled that, law makers of the state House of Assembly recently amended the Local Government Law which paved the way for the appointment of chairmen and members of the Interim Management Committee formerly known as the Transition Management Committee.
