A former Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Government House, Asaba, Tony Obuh, has been picked up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Also picked up was Mr. Friday Aghedo, a retired civil servant, who was secretary to Obuh in Government House, and Permanent Secretary, Bureau of special Duties and Mr. Benson Oburo, who had also served as Permanent Secretary, Government House, Asaba,
According to a source in EFCC, Obuh, who was an aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 governorship race, was picked up in Asaba, the state capital on Thursday.
He was being quizzed at the commission’s head office in Abuja.
The source said: “Details of their alleged offence were hazy at press time, but it is in connection with the alleged mismanagement of funds of the Delta State Government”.
