N418m Alleged Fraud: Youth Council Submit More Evidences Against Jibrin

National Youth Council of NigeriaMore trouble came the way of the member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, as the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) yesterday submitted more evidence against him to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The NYCN petitioned the anti-graft agency over an alleged N418 million fraud perpetrated by the former Appropriation Committee Chairman of the House of Reps.

Following a petition by Jibrin accusing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, three other principal officers and some members of the House of budget padding, the National President of the NYCN, Ikenga Ugochinyere, said the Kano lawmaker must come to equity with clean hands.

Ugochinyere told newsmen in Abuja yesterday at the EFCC office in Wuse Zone 7 that the council was invited to endorse their petition and provide more evidence in support of their petition against Jibrin over the fraud in constituency projects.

The youth council president said they brought the issue of fraud against Jibrin up now because the lawmaker had been on the forefront of asking that the appropriation process be sanitized.
