Soldiers who got wounded in action and are recuperating at the 44 Army Research Reference Hospital in Kaduna State have cried out in frustration over the non-payment of their salaries by the Nigerian Army.

The soldiers, who are receiving treatment at the hospital claim they are being owed allowances for months, a situation that has caused their families untold hardship.

They, however, appealed to the government to ensure speedy payment of the salaries and allowances to sustain their families as that is their only source of livelihood.

Responding to the allegations, the army said the issue is being addressed and appealed to the affected soldiers to keep calm as all debts will be cleared soon.
