Apple has released its latest flagship devices, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7Plus to fanfare and rapturous applause. The iPhone 7 has made some radical changes on its predecessors and these are six things you should know about the smartphone
° No earphone Jack
Yep, you read that right, the iPhone 7 does not sport any earphone jack, meaning you cannot use regular earphones on the iPhone. A few people have hailed this a brave move but the jury is still out on that one.
• Airpods
In place of the traditional earphones, Apple debuted wireless earphones, awkward looking devices which automatically connect with your device.
The Airpods will cost a whopping $159.
° Water and Dust Resistant
Finally, there’s an iPhone that’s water and dust-resistant. Apple is a late arrival here, seeing as Samsung already did this on the S5. However, I’m guessing its better late than never.
• Price
The iPhone 7 will be available from a starting price of £599 for the cheapest 32GB option. The 128GB version costs £699 and the 256GB version will cost you £799. One thing’s for sure, it ain’t cheap!
° Camera
The iPhone 7 sports two rear cameras and one of them is a telephoto camera, promising photos clearer than anything possible on a smartphone.
