Eid el-Kabir: Be One Another’s Keeper, Atiku Urges Nigerians

Atiku-AbubakarA former Vice President and chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has urged Muslims and Nigerians in general, to learn to be one another’s keeper.

He made the call in a statement issued by his media office in Abuja, on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir festival.

Mr. Abubakar congratulated Muslims on the Sallah festivities and urged them to use the opportunity to reflect on the situation in the country.

The Turaki Adamawa urged Nigerians to celebrate the festival like other people in the world in spite of the economic situation, assuring that the storm will soon be over.

According to him, rather than despair, the occasion calls for sober reflections, prayers, cooperation and a display of solidarity among Nigerians so that no one feels left out.

Mr. Abubakar also called on Nigerians to continue to work hard, persevere and pray for the success of the policies and measures being put in place by the APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari, to restore the nation’s economy to good health and improve the lives of the people.
