Co-founder of tech startup, Andela, Iyin Aboyeji has announced his exit from the company he cofounded. Andela shot to fame on the back of receiving $24m in funding from the Zuckerberg-Chan initiative, the first company to ever be funded by the investment scheme.
25-year old Aboyeji is leaving Andela to run his own company, Flutterwave, a digital payment platform which is expected to launch before the end of the year.
Aboyeji was named Quartz African Innovator in 2o16 and his exit from Andela does not come as a huge surprise, as it ended months of speculation about his reduced role in the company.
