25-year-old Atletico Madrid striker, Antoine Griezmann has been named the French Player of the year for 2016 by French football magazine.
Griezmann recently finished third, behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the Ballon d’Or award having been influential for club and country in the past year. He guided Atletico Madrid to the Champions League finals and also was part of the French team which finished second at the Euro 2016.
Despite being linked to several teams, Griezmann signed a contract extension at Atletico for another four years.
