A man identified as Oluseyi Adekunle, jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge on Friday morning.
According to reports, despite efforts from thr rescue team to find the body of the victim, it yielded no result.
It was learnt that officials of the Lekki Concession Company spotted the victim through their closed circuit cameras as he removed his clothes and shoes before jumping.
Before the officials arrived the scene, the victim had jumped.
His identity was determined through the ATM card and other documents found inside his bag.
The CCTV footage appeared to show him undressing and looking around to see that he was alone before plunging into the lagoon.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said it received a distress call from the LCC that the victim jumped into the lagoon at about 10am.

LASEMA search and rescue team along with officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, Marine Police, Lagos State Ambulance Services and men from the Maroko Police Division mobilised to the scene, kick-starting hours of search.
A statement from LASEMA at about 6pm said there had not been any sign of the body in the water hours after recover operation started.
It appeared that LASEMA later got the identity of the victim but the General Manager LASEMA, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu, said his family had been contacted.
He added that all items found on the bag left behind were handed over to the Nigerian Police from Maroko Division for further investigation.
He, however, assured that his officials and other responders would stay on the ground till the body was recovered.
