Former president Goodluck Jonathan’s former aide, Reno Omokri has revealed that the former president called him to show more respect to President Muhammad Buhari.
The former president was defeated as an incumbent by Buhari in 2015, and to the surprise of many accepted defeat and gave Buhari a congratulatory phone call — A move that has earned him the respect of many people.
However his former aide, Omokri has since become a thorn in the flesh of Buhari’s administration — calling the president out on any wrong doing.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Omokri hailed the humility of the former president, for asking him to soft peddle in his attacks on Buhari — He says that Buhari would never do the same for him, nor former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo or Ibrahim Babangida.
He wrote: just don’t know how God created Jonathan. I have never met a man, whether Pastor, Imam or Pope, with as much humility as former President Jonathan. He called me and appealed to me to show more respect and kindness to Buhari. Would Buhari do that to him or Obj or IBB?
