Lepers in the Alheri Special Village, Yangoji, Kwali Area Council of Abuja, have said that President Muhammadu Buhari has abandoned them since after helping him come into power in 2015 and 2019.
This was made known by the Head of the village, Ali Isa on Saturday while receiving food items donated to the village by the Qatari Charity Organization.
According to Isa, the community hasn’t had electricity supply their transformer was stolen — And villagers constantly have to deal with snakes and other reptiles at night — Due to darkness.
According to him, the Government should come to their aid as the health clinic made available to them had no drugs, and there are fertilizers for their farms.
He revealed also that only international organizations offer them donations while the Nigerian government has turned its back on them.
