‘Don’t compare me with Beyonce’ – Yemi Alade tells Seyi Shay

Following the release of Yemi Alade’s new single with US rapper Rick Ross, friend and colleague Seyi Shay took to social media to praise her, but she may have gotten more than she asked for.

Seyi had shared her thoughts about the new video while referring to Yemi as ‘African beyonce.’

Yemi Alade replied Seyi’s message appreciating her for the sweet words but added that she does not feel right thing being compared with Beyonce as she feels there can never be another Beyonce.

Yemi wrote;

My queen. I love her, inspired by her but don’t wanna be another version of her. There can never be another her sef as there will never be another me.
