Atiku Remembers Late MKO Abiola After 21 Years

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president has urged all Nigerians to remember the family of the late Chief MKO Abiola, the June 12 hero in their prayers.

According to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Abiola, the acclaimed winner of Nigeria’s ever fairest election breathed his last today in 1998.

Atiku in a tweet on Sunday joined other Nigerians to condole with his family.

“Today, 21 years ago, Chief MKO Abiola breathed his last in his heroic fight for democracy and rule of law. I join other Nigerians of good conscience to condole with his family and in prayer to Allah SWT to shine His Noor on his face,” he tweeted.
