Armed bandits on Friday released 15 kidnapped victims, following an ongoing agreement on peace and reconciliation process initiated by the Zamfara State government.
On their part, the local vigilante group, popularly known as Yan Sakai, released 25 Fulani captives in their custody to the state police commissioner, Usman Nagoggo, who handed them over to the governor, Bello Mutawalle.

Following yesterday’s release, a total number of kidnapped persons released by bandits in the last 72 hours stands at 40.

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mutawalle thanked the aggrieved groups while assuring them that he will ensure justice is served.
