Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday said that drinking alcohol is not a sin but getting drunk is.
Omokri, a pastor tweeted this via his Twitter handle, telling his followers not to allow any pastor or church put any burden that God has not put on them.
He said: “Don’t let any church or pastor put a burden on you that God has not put. Drinking alcohol is NOT a sin. Getting drunk is a sin. The only Godly reason for divorce is adultery. But SEPARATION from an abusive spouse is NOT a sin. PHARISEES still exist.”
