Court Adjourns Senator Elisha Abboh’s Assault Case Over Health Challenges

Senator Elisha Abbo’s trial at the Zuba Chief Magistrates’ Court, in Abuja, has  been adjourned due to his health issues.

According to reports, the case was stalled after he failed to appear in court on Tuesday.

Recall the senator is standing trial for assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja in May.

His counsel, Adegbite Adeniyi, told the court that the Senator is ill and couldn’t make it to court.

His counsel also presented a medical report to the court claiming the senator is on admission at a hospital in Yola state.

”My Lord my client is suffering from Acute Febrile (medical term used to describe a sudden fever or elevation in body temperature)” he said.

Adeniyi presented a medical report to the court and claimed Abbo was on admission in a hospital in Yola, Adamawa.

The case was adjourned till September 24th for hearing.
