The Kogi West Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Kola Ojo, had reportedly slumped and died on Tuesday while playing lawn tennis at his Lokoja residence.
Ojo was said to have been immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.
The PDP state publicity secretary, Mr. Bode Ogunmola confirmed this in a statement, on Wednesday, saying the deceased was one of the reliable pillars of the party “who did all he could in the last governorship election.”

Ojo was said to have retired few years back from the legal department of the Central Bank of Nigeria before venturing into partisan politics.
The deceased was elected PDP Kofi West zonal chairman in September last year during the party’s state convention.
