Secondus, Peter Obi, Melaye, Other PDP Bigwigs Storm Abuja Streets To Protest Imo Judgement

Bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) have taken to the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to protest the apex court decision to annul the election of Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP, and declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the winner of the March 9 2019, Imo Gubernatorial election. The protest, which was attended by the national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, Dino Melaye, and other chieftains of the opposition party, on Monday demanded that the Supreme Court reverse its judgement.

Lagos Govt Bans Motorcycles, Tricycles On Highways, Bridges

The Lagos stage government has begun enforcement of its Traffic Laws which bans the operation of motorcycles and tricycles in restricted areas. According to the government, there will be road signs to indicate restricted areas, adding that anyone that violates the law after this effort would be punished in accordance with the law.

The seven-man panel of the Apex court unanimously dismissed the appeal of Jeremiah Useni and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for lacking merit.

In a day of Supreme Court rulings, the apex court also dismissed an appeal filed by Lalong on the grounds that having dismissed the appeal by Useni, the other appeal had become academic.
