The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the re-election of Simon Lalong in the March 2019 Plateau State Governorship election.
The seven-man panel of the Apex court unanimously dismissed the appeal of Jeremiah Useni and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for lacking merit.

Reading the judgement, Justice Palu Galumje held that the appellants failed to prove their case.
In a day of Supreme Court rulings, the apex court also dismissed an appeal filed by Lalong on the grounds that having dismissed the appeal by Useni, the other appeal had become academic.
