There was pandemonium in Yenagoa, the state capital of Bayelsa on Friday as angry protesters stormed the home of the newly sworn-in governor of the state, Douye Diri.
During the course of the violent protest, properties which include vehicles, building windows among others were destroyed.
The protesters were unhappy about the Supreme court judgment which sacked David Lyon as the governor of the state on Thursday.

At the time of this report, it remains unknown if the newly sworn-in governor was at home when the protesters struck.
