The Federal Government of Nigeria has slashed its visa application charges for citizens of the United States from $180 to $160.
This is coming few days after the United States added Nigeria to the list of countries banned from getting visa.

According to the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, in a memo to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reduction followed a review of the US’ visa reciprocity policy for Nigeria.
Babandede’s letter came a day after the President Muhammadu Buhari launched the Nigeria Visa Policy 2020 which, among others, increased the country’s visa classes from six to 79.
