Real Madrid has extended its lead at the top of the La Liga table with a 1-0 victory in the Madrid derby.
The match started on a frentic note as both sides missed early opportunities to go into an early lead.

The game went into the half on level terms. Real started on the front foot in the second half and few minutes later, French international, Karim Benzema scored the winning goal of the game.
With this victory, Real extends it lead to six points ahead of defending champion, Barcelona.
