Reno Omokri, a staunch critic of President Muhammadu Buhari has queried why the identity of the coronavirus patient has been kept away from the public.
Since the first case of the Coronavirus was confirmed in Nigeria, many have pushed for the identity of the Italian to be revealed.

This has led to doubts amongst some Nigerians on social media.
Omokri, speaking on the issue, queried why the identity of the Coronavirus index case has been not been revealed like that of Patrick Sawyer, the index case of Ebola in Nigerian.
See his tweets below:
Why was the identity of Patrick Sawyer, the index case of #Ebola in Nigeria, released, while that of the Italian index case of #COVID19 is not? It is the same scenario. Would the identity of a Nigerian, who introduced such to Italy, be kept secret?#FreeLeahSharibu #RenosDarts

A Nigerian player in the Italian league, Serie C, Akpan Udoh, contracted corona virus in Italy, and his identity was released by the Italian authorities. If we released Patrick Sawyer’s identity over Ebola, why are we giving this Italian anonymity?#FreeLeahSharibu #RenosDarts
