The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) says the “God who answered our prayers when Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), which is deadlier, came calling is still on the throne.”
Nigeria recorded its first case of coronavirus on Friday when an Italian national arrived the country from Milan.
The Italian, who visited Ogun and Lagos having arrived since Monday, tested positive to the virus on Friday.

Joseph Daramola, general-secretary of the association, while reacting to the development said God would help Nigeria overcome the virus as it did to Ebola.
Daramola said, “The God who answered our prayers when the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), which is deadlier, came calling is still on the throne and that same God will also grant us victory over the COVID-19 in Jesus Name. ”
“They should also follow this professional counsel: Avoid panicking. Regular washing of hands with water, soap and sanitizers (where available). Avoid crowded places and people who are coughing or sneezing. Covering of mouths and noses with a handkerchief or tissue while sneezing or coughing and Avoid self-medication.”
God have mercy. Sin brings sickness and diseases unto nations . Deut. 28 vs 15 God make His stand clear on evil and the punishment that follows it and in Ps 91 He and made His stand also clear. God through Christ Jesus will protect us all in Jesus name. We need more prayers than the vaccine
