President Buhari Appoints Bashir Jamoh As NIMASA Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Bashir Jamoh as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.

According to reports, Jamoh replaces Dakuku Peterside who was appointed in 2016 to head the maritime agency.

According to reports, Peterside who is an ally of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and alsonran unsuccessfully for the Governorship seat in Rivers in 2015, tenure as NIMASA DG is set to end on March 10, 2020.

The newly appointed Director General who has a PhD from the University of Port Harcourt is the Executive Director, Administration and Finance at NIMASA.
