Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has cautioned against forcing civil servants to join political parties.
This is coming after allegations that the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have resorted to harassing and threatening Nigerians, particularly civil servants in some states, to register as members of the APC against their will in the ongoing party registration exercise.

Reacting to this development, the former lawmaker from Kaduna wrote on his Twitter page:
“Civil Servants must not be compelled, forced or blackmailed to register as members of any political party.”
