Former Head of State and Chairman, National Peace Committee, General Abdulsalami Abubakar has sued for peace over the recent happenings of ethnic attacks across the country.
Abdulsalami expressed dismay over the tension growing in the country in the past two weeks.
He lamented that if care is not taken the embers of disunity, anarchy and disintegration that is spreading fast across the nation will lead the nation to the point of no return.
He expressed worry while speaking to newsmen in his Uphill residence in Minna on Tuesday.

He called for calm urging everyone to join hands together in a bid to resolve the ongoing challenges which would go a long way in keeping the country united.
He also tasked the new Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police to rise to the demands of the moment to design best strategies to end the tragic war ongoing in the country.
Abdulsalami further appealed to the people who are pained with the ongoings in the country to remain resilient and patient adding that there is the need for everyone to rally together, make sacrifices and remain vigilant.
The former Head of State admonished state governors to sheathe their swords, time down their rhetoric, and take full responsibility for managing the divergent voices and frustrations within their states.
