Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor on Tuesday advised media practitioners to be more careful when reporting issues that could further polarise the country, Nigeria.
Wike advised media practitioners in a meeting he hosted in his State’s capital, Port-Harcourt to reconcile Samuel Ortom, the Governor of Benue State and his colleague, Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State.
He advised the media to be responsible in stabilizing the peace and unity of the country, Nigeria.

Governor Nyesom Wike said, “You men of the Press should have a role to play in stabilizing Nigeria, you are not helping the country when you escalate things. It is not everything you should report.”
The Rivers State Governor thanked the two Governors for settling their differences amicably.
Recall that Ortom and Mohammed had their clash when Mohammed said herdsmen have the right to carry AK-47 for self-protection.
